There is an ELCA presence at more than 180 state and private colleges and universities, and cooperating congregations in campus ministry at an additional 400 campuses nationwide.
Students find “food, fellowship, and faith formation” says Chaplain Anne Jones of campus ministry at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.* “There are also several opportunities for weekend retreats and Spring Break trips. According to the students, one of the greatest things… is the ability to gather seven days a week in our campus ministry house to hang out with friends, study, or find a moment of silence in the chapel room.”
