Leadership Academy Session #2 Congregational Council Retreat

We are excited to announce our second Metro D.C. Synod Leadership Academy event – Congregational Council Retreat. This retreat day has been specifically created to help Congregational Councils establish and reestablish their roles and responsibilities, specific duties, and learn effective meeting practices. Consider this a Council 101 (Re)Training.

Who Should Attend

Rostered ministers serving in congregational calls
Executive members of congregational councils (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer)
Other council members as pastors see their roles fitting into this training.

Cost

The cost is $25 per person for a full day of training including lunch and breaks.

What to Prepare

We ask participants to find, read, and bring their congregational constitution and bylaws, recent financial statement/budget, and any current policies.
