Several new congregations are growing in the Metro D.C. Synod — growing in numbers, in faith, in their worship life, in stewardship and in discipleship.
GLOBAL PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH
While the synod does not geologically extend to Frederick, Md., the Metro D.C. Synod jointly support this synodically authorized worshiping community (SAWC) along with the Delaware-Maryland Synod. The congregation aims to create a welcoming place for worship and communion for people of diverse background and cultures, reaching out to increasing numbers of Asian Indians gathering along the I-270 corridor.
