The Rev. Zavandro Andriamaheninkaja, known as “Hoda,” is an ordained
minister from the Malagasy Lutheran Church (FLM) in Madagascar who will
lead music at the GME. He currently serves at Gloria Dei! Lutheran in
Arnold, Maryland.

Workshops
Workshops
Thirty-two workshop options are planned. Participants can attend two
on Saturday morning and two on Saturday afternoon. Topics and projects
include “Immigration,” led by Ralston Deffenbaugh, Executive Director,
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services; “Lutheran Voter Guidelines,”
a timely look at a Lutheran perspective on voting; and “The Future of
Lutheranism in a Global Context,” featuring an author of this recent
Augsburg Fortress release.

Displays highlighting ELCA Global Missions and World Hunger
ministries, ELCA partner agencies and Region 8 ministries, and a Fair
Trade Marketplace
Youth Groups
Area churches are available to host “lock-down” events for Friday
night. Youth and leaders are responsible for their own sleeping bags.
