Bishop Ortiz Farewell Dinner and Service
The Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Synod invites you to join in giving thanks for the faithful leadership of Bishop Leila Ortiz, who has guided the synod with wisdom and grace over the past six years. There are two special opportunities to recognize and celebrate her ministry:
Celebration Dinner

Farewell Worship Service

University of Maryland Memorial Chapel

Attending In-Person
Sunday’s worship service will be held at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel (7744 Regents Dr, College Park, MD 20742).
Free parking is available behind the Memorial Chapel at the end of Chapel Lane on the left hand side in Lot Y for the first 30 cars. Free overflow parking is available on Regents Dr. behind the Main Administration Building (1101 Main Administration Building).
The service will begin promptly at 4pm with doors opening at 3pm.
Rostered ministers are invited to vest and process. The color of the day is green. Clergy will gather in the smaller Garden Chapel. We ask you to arrive 3-3:30pm. Students will be helping guide attendees to the appropriate location.
