Love building bridge over stigma and suffering

Group 236

POUNDS (or should we say kilograms?) of cards are being delivered to participants in the 2014 International AIDS Conference, which begins in a week in Melbourne, Australia, from members of our synod. Messages of God’s love and ours are shared in English, Farsi, German, Indonesian, Lugandan, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swahili and pictures-with-no-words according to Kati Miller-Holland of Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area. “They are eloquent, heartfelt, and a powerful bridge over the stigma and suffering that impacts the worldwide HIV community!” she writes. Pictured here are Karen, Elishua and Richard – our local delegates.
