Monthly Prayer Petition | March 2026

The synod’s Racial Equity Team offers this prayer petition for congregations to use:

 

Holy one,

We pray for situations in cities and surrounding areas, where immigrants are suffering at the hands of ICE agents.

We are heartbroken by the ways violence is being used to generate fear and bring harm to our immigrant kin.

We are horrified the children are being swept up and detained.

We are saddened as immigrants are proclaimed to be less than human, a sentiment contrary to the roots of our faith that teaches us that all humanity is made in the image of God.

Continue to bring your caring grace to places that are treacherous.

Keep animating a caring majority that mobilizes the common good.

And Holy God, may your mercy prevail.
