Youth + Family Ministry Staffing Update

Soon-to-be-Deacon Nicole Roop has agreed to take on the part-time responsibilities for Youth+Family Ministry in partnership with the Delaware-Maryland Synod.

Dr. Roop is a full-time administrator at the University of Maryland – College Park and served her internship year at our synod’s shared Campus Ministry – The Humble Walk – with Pastor Ray Ranker. A special word of thanks to Adam Fairchild, Pastor Christine Parker and Pastor Mark Parker, as well as our LYO student leaders and mentors, for helping to lead during Deacon Julie’s maternity and emergency family medical leave.

Deacon Julie Stecker will be returning part-time to the Delaware-Maryland staff as the Communications Coordinator. This role, which she has previously held, will allow Deacon Julie the flexibility she needs to continue care of her husband and young twins.
