Feeding Neighbors: Reformation Lutheran, Washington, D.C.

A staple of the food distribution ministry at Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Washington, D.C. are their food bags. They create and distribute bags that contain enough food to feed a family of four for two days. They also have recently begun doing more for unhoused neighbors that visit their food pantry. Their Youth Group (comprised of youth from St. Paul’s, Reformation, and Luther Place) now makes bags that have snacks (trail mix, granola bars, applesauce, etc.) and other items such as deodorant, socks, tissues, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand sanitizer, and wet wipes. This winter, they were able to purchase supplies for their neighbors using the funds they received from the synod’s Feeding Our Neighbors Together grant. Thanks for all that you do, Reformation D.C.!
