Proposed Amendment
Pursuant to S18.13.b. of the Constitution, Bylaws, and Continuing Resolutions of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, notice is hereby given that the Synod Council has approved a proposed amendment to these governing provisions.
This proposed amendment will be presented to the 2023 Synod Assembly, to be held June 3, 2023, and if adopted by a two-thirds vote at this Assembly, the amendments will become effective upon their subsequent ratification by the Churchwide Assembly or the Church Council.
