Endowed Scholarship at Roanoke

We established an endowed scholarship fund at Roanoke College in Roanoke, VA, the second oldest Lutheran college in the US. This scholarship provides awards to Lutheran students in need who are members of the Metro D.C. Synod or of a companion synod, with the first preference be given to female applicants who are pursuing a call to vocational ministry.

We also choose other projects each year to support financially and sometimes with in-kind gifts, such as local Lutheran Campus Ministries, local Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, local food banks, and other local youth non-profit organizations.
