Over $25,000 Raised for Building Puentes!

In the month of October, Bishop Ortiz and Bishop Gohl called for the support our siblings in Christ in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean synod after Hurricane Fiona devastated the islands, some still recovering from the 2017 hurricane season.

Thanks to your generosity, over $25,000 was raised to support the rostered ministers and congregations of the Caribbean Synod and gifts are still trickling in!

Because of your incredible response, we are moving forward with plans for a Bishop’s Convocation in Puerto Rico in late April in partnership with the Delaware-Maryland and Caribbean synods. This retreat will provide a weekend of sabbath for the rostered ministers of the three synods while many of our local rostered ministers will provide pulpit reprieve to the congregations of Puerto Rico.
