Participate in a Study on Civic Life & Faith
The ELCA is in the process of developing a social statement on Church, State, and Civic Participation. The Task Force on Studies for Civic Life and Faith recently released a study curriculum that your congregation can participate in at your own pace. Each session is ready to use, complete with videos, leader and participant guides, feedback forms, and more.
Completing these sessions and the accompanying feedback forms will help impact the ELCA’s draft social statement on Church, State, and Civic Participation. The completed social statement will have many uses, including being a resource to stimulate responsible and caring discussion and to think more deeply about the relationship of the church, its members, and public life.
