Financial Management: What Councils Need to Know

During the second Council Leadership session, we review three areas that church councils should be monitoring:

  • Are we protecting the resources for which we are responsible?
  • How is our congregation doing financially?
  • Are we honoring the intent of our donors?

Julie Hamre has been working in nonprofit financial management for over 35 years. Current clients include her church, the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, child care and after school programs, and several performing arts groups. She currently serves as the Synod Treasurer.
