Clergy Appreciation Month 2024

Dear Faithful Deacons and Pastors,

In this season of reflection, I am drawn to the timeless wisdom of Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to the one who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to God’s power that is at work within us, to God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!” 

These words resonate deeply as we stand in awe of God’s grace and the miraculous ways God has moved through your faithful “yes” to the call to live and lead as church together. For such a time as this, the Triune God has worked wonders in our church and world, using your willing hearts and hands as instruments of boundless love. It’s been through your steadfast commitment to the gospel that the Holy Spirit has transformed lives, healed wounds, and sparked hope in ways beyond our comprehension. 

As we look to the future, be emboldened by the knowledge that the same God who has done great things will continue to work through our collective ministry. With this assurance, I invite you to step forward with renewed courage, knowing that as you lean into your calling, by grace, our Creator will continue to reveal God’s glory in and through us; God’s beloved creation.

May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. And may God’s strength, wisdom, and love sustain, guide, and empower you in your ministry, now and always… with God’s help and in Jesus’ name. Amen.
