Join Advent Devotions via phone when the synod staff gathers on Tuesdays for our staff meeting.

With the clanging of so much holiday noise around us, perhaps this Advent centering will fit into your schedule. Listen in all 4 weeks, for all 15 minutes, or join us for as much as you can.

16adventdevotions200We will use Advent devotions prepared for 2016 by the Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, ELCA presiding bishop, and leaders from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the Anglican Church of Canada and The Episcopal Church, denominations with which the ELCA shares full communion ties.

Each devotion includes a bible reading and prayer along with discussion of the prepared content by a synod staff member and prayer for synod congregations. Obtain your copy of the devotion material from elca.org (link to pdf file). You will get the most from the Tuesday morning devotional time by reading the brief reflection in advance.
