Metro D.C. Synod Block Party

We are one Synod of 72 congregations and so many people! Block parties are a fantastic opportunity to get to know your neighbors, share food, music, and games, and build relationships.
The Faith In Action Racial Equity Network is looking to bring people together and to encourage everyone to share more about who you are, where you come from, and something from your culture, and have some fun while we get to know each other.
- Maybe you have a recipe you’d like to share that somebody in your congregation loves to make. Great!
Bring some sample-size servings to share and perhaps a copy of the recipe. - Maybe there is an activity that is special to your congregation or important to the community. Please share it with us!
- Maybe your congregation is great at kids’ activities. Go ahead and bring it for kids that may be attending!
We want to share ourselves and our stories and understand more about who we are as a Synod. If all you plan to bring is yourself, that is more than enough!
