Metro D.C. Synod Block Party

You are Invited!
Come join the fun at the multigenerational Synod Block Party on Saturday, August 3, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills. You can bring a food dish to share, especially one that showcases your family heritage, culture, or ethnicity. There will be one large tent to gather under but please bring chairs, blankets, and anything else that will make you comfortable. Shepherd of the Hills has abundant outdoor space with plenty of room and parking for everyone.
Fun for Children & Youth
Activities for all ages include a bounce house/waterslide, gaga ball pit, volleyball, kickball, lawn connect four, lawn Jenga, karaoke, and snow cones. Little and big kids can enjoy the games, food, and open spaces. For middle and high schoolers who attended the ELCA Youth Gathering, the Block Party will be a chance to see their new friends from New Orleans.
Share A Ministry
Ministry teams and organizations within the synod are encouraged to set up a table under the tent to show how you serve the community. This is a great opportunity to share your mission and gain new interest from attendees to join in your efforts!
