Nets and friendship face down malaria
Nearly 80 children put love into action after learning about the ELCA Malaria Campaign during Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the Clifton Campus of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. They made contributions to purchase mosquito nets, with more than $350 collected.
Children reflected on Mark 10:27 during the VBS “Sky” theme, taking to heart “by trusting God, everything’s possible!”
In addition to nets, children in Malawi will receive Friendship Cards from Clifton kids through the encouragement of Jenny Cox, Director of Children and Youth Ministry at the congregation. Malawi is one of the 11 sub-Saharan countries that will receive ELCA support from the ELCA Malaria Campaign.
