Prayer as Oxygen – Rostered Minister Retreat
As necessary as oxygen is for our physical well-being, prayer is vital for our spiritual well-being. James 5:13-18 reminds us how God invites us into prayer in all aspects of life, but prayer is more than speaking to God and sharing our concerns – prayer is a time for listening to God and hearing from God through Scripture, our thoughts and feelings, and our relationships.
Please join your friends and colleagues of the Metro D.C. Synod as we gather for the Rostered Leaders’ Gathering on October 29-30, 2019 at Bon Secours Retreat Center in Marriottsville, Maryland. We will experience different types of prayer as we pray for and with one another deepening our relationships with God and each other. We are excited about this opportunity to spend time listening to God and the ways God is inviting us to grow personally, professionally, and communally, and we hope you join us for this formative event that will help launch the next phase of ministry in the Metro D.C. Synod.
The cost of this event is significantly subsidized by the Developing Leaders program within the New Connections Campaign. The cost of $70 includes three meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast) and overnight accommodations in private rooms with queen beds and private shower facilities. You will also have the option during the registration process to add an lunch on Wednesday at the additional cost of $10.
